I recently had a chance to chat with our new VP of Business Development, Mao Keo, about her professional background, her charter here at Tracx, the new Tracx Partner Program that was just announced today, as well as why she’s excited to be working in the social enterprise space.
Q: Tell me a little about yourself.
A: Before joining Tracx, I spent over a decade at Oracle. During that time, I held several roles across marketing, sales and alliances, including an opportunity to hold an overseas post in Europe for 5 years managing the Dell Strategic Alliance across Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Right before joining Tracx, I was Oracle's Global Business Development Director for Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud responsible for driving sales of Oracle's SaaS and Cloud portfolio to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The experience I gained from my tenure at Oracle and other similar organizations was an understanding that partnerships and channels play a key role in the overall success of a company.
Having a strong partner ecosystem arms an organization to have greater reach to customers/industries, provide a more comprehensive solution to our customers - and having a network of partners that share and support a common goal is simply priceless.
Q: What is your charter at Tracx?
A: As a VP of business development, I'm responsible for driving a very wide range of strategic partnerships for Tracx and developing them into relationships that drive real, tangible new revenue for Tracx. I'm chartered with working to build a full social enterprise ecosystem looking across technology integrations spanning solutions such as customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, command centers, e-Commerce, as well as reseller, professional services and system integrators.
Q: Tell me a little about the new Tracx Partner Program you've just launched.
A: Social media is an industry that has revolutionized the way companies and brands do business. As a next generation social enterprise platform, Tracx is a comprehensive solution, however it is only piece of a company's social media strategy/solution. When thinking social media strategy, companies must look not only at their social media presence, but also at their customer experience solution, at how well their social enterprise platform will integrate with their CRM platform and so forth. We developed the Tracx Partner Program with the understanding that the best social media solution for our customers is a holistic and complete solution, one in which our partners are leaders with their respective industry solutions.
Q: What kinds of companies are you/Tracx most interested in partnering with?
A: At Tracx, we are passionate about helping enterprises gain real, actionable business knowledge from social media as well as being innovative, leading-edge and disruptive in the industry. We look for partners that have these same qualities in their organizational DNA.
Q: What about the social enterprise space do you find most interesting?
A: What I find most interesting about the social enterprise space is that it is exciting, yet still somewhat unchartered territory. I believe it’s just about to bloom and burst into the mainstream. Tracx is trailblazing and defining this evolving space with our innovative and agile solution, which makes for a fun and exciting adventure driving partnerships at Tracx.
